Description:

Day 1 Transpyrenees-Adventure:

With respect to the video, everything is the same, except that the section through French territory from Coustouges to Saint Laurent de Cerdans is removed because it could not be passed through closed gates. So the track is corrected

We will leave from a point as emblematic as the Cap de Creus lighthouse, the easternmost point of the Iberian Peninsula and we will end in Ribas de Freser.

Gasoline we will put in:

1. Cadaqués

2. La Jonquera

3. Ribes de Freser

It should be noted that from June to September the passage of private vehicles is prohibited between 9:30 a.m. and 8:00 p.m. on the road between Cadaqués and the Cap de Creus Lighthouse. Between those hours you can only go by shuttle bus.

We did not reach Requesens Castle on foot, because there was a prohibition sign.

The most beautiful sections of the day, I would say, are the surroundings of the Cap de Creus natural park, the section of closed forest in French territory and the two high mountain sections bordering the Capçaleres del Ter and Freser natural park.

Route with little difficulty, suitable for trail and maxitrail.

Day 2 Transpyrenees-Adventure:

The first thing is that all the details are in the YouTube video, in case you have any questions.

On this second day we depart from Ribes de Freser (Girona) and we will arrive in Andorra La Vella. It is a not very long stage, only 182km, which with 30% of road is done quite quickly.

The entire track is quite easy to do with Maxitrail, there is only one section which is the one that comes just after the town of Talltendre, where a fat bike can have a very difficult time: steep road with a lot of loose stones. We uploaded it well as you can see in the video, but it was not easy at all.

If you want to ford the Segre River, it is very fun, the bad thing is that you can end up soaked if it enters too hard, as happened to me.

As you can see, we found quite a few closed gates, although we were able to avoid all of them on the side. If you want to skip those gates, know that you do so at your own risk. If you were unlucky enough to have a forest ranger there that day, you could be fined.

If you do not want to skip the first gate that we found closed, which was shortly after passing Éller, you can continue the road to Cortás, then Bellver de Cerdanya, then Martinet, and from Martinet you go uphill looking for Lles de Cerdanya. Furthermore, if you do this route you will also avoid going through the complicated Talltendre section.

What you do have to skip so that the route makes sense and reaches Andorra by offroad is the gate at the entrance to the Aránser alpine ski resort.

I don't know if it is closed all year round or if we found it closed for some other reason, the issue is that after that gate as you see in the video comes another one. If you manage to pass those two, the path is now clear until you enter Andorra.

I recommend the climb to Pic Negre 100%, it was super fun. It is suitable for maxitrail, but you have to know how to carry it and not lose inertia at any time. The climb to Pic Negre is currently 100% legal, I don't know if things can change in the future. Of course, do not go cross-country in Pic Negre, follow the paths that are already marked, otherwise all the grassland vegetation that covers it will turn to shit and it would be a shame.

Day 3 Transpyrenees-Adventure:

Third day of our Transpyrenean route. Almost all offroad.

Perhaps the most beautiful day in the entire Trans-Pyrenees in terms of landscapes.

From Andorra we head towards Coll de la Gallina, but another option is to go through the village of Tor, which I have heard is very beautiful.

The track from Coll de la Portella to the Espot ski resort is very beautiful. This track can be taken even earlier, if you take Llesui and start it from the Coll del Triador.

From Baguerge to Vielha, there are incredible landscapes, don't miss that part either.

Easy day without major complications. Well, as you will see in the video, we did not do the offroad section arriving at Castejón de Sos and I have been told that there is a difficult descent for maxitrail a little before reaching Castejón de Sos. Eye!

Quite a few prohibition signs, but allowed during the summer. See video for more details

Gas stations:

1) Upon departure in Andorra

2) Next to the Torrassa Reservoir

3) Vielha

4) Castejón de Sos

Day 4 Transpyrenees-Adventure:

The first thing I have to clarify is that this route is not exactly the one seen in the video, since I have removed the part of the path on the ridge, since it is on a prohibited path with a chain right at the end.

There is a part of this track that we did not get to do due to Miguel's breakdown.

So from Ordesa to Jaca it is not proven. It's the track we would have done if we hadn't had the breakdown.
